Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Aviation Technology (UniKL MIAT) started the new year with high flying recognition from Department of Civil Aviation, Malaysia (DCA). It officially became the first approved Maintenance Training Organisation (MTO) following a certificate presentation ceremony held on January 24, 2008 at its campus in Dengkil.
Y. B. Mulia Tengku Dato’ Seri Azlan Ibni Sultan Abu Bakar, Deputy Minister of Transport II graced the ceremony together with other distinguished guests including Y. Bhg. Dato’ Azharuddin Abdul Rahman (Director General, DCA), Y. Bhg. Dato’ Zolkipli Abdul (Chairman of UniKL Council), Y. Bhg, Tuan Haji Mohamad Omar bin Ali (Chairman of UniKL MIAT Board of Directors) and Y. Bhg. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Abdul Hakim Juri (President / CEO of UniKL).
The first of its kind in Malaysia, UniKL MIAT is responsible in imparting ab-initio training to the students in the field of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering. The approval is based on DCA Airworthiness Notice No. 85 - APPROVAL OF TRAINING ORGANISATION which has adopted the Civil Aviation Authority United Kingdom (CAA UK) British Civil Aviation Regulation (BCAR) Section L requirements such as the standards and syllabus.
The objective of the training program is to prepare eligible candidates for License without Type Rating (LWTR) examination conducted by DCA. The training courses in the field of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering are designed to give the students the following essentials which are also in line with the requirements of International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) Training Manual.
UniKL MIAT in its effort to obtain the approval has developed the MAINTENANCE TRAINING ORGANISATON EXPOSITION (MTOE) which is a mandatory requirement and must be approved by the DCA.

HS - 125
Yesterday, my instructor had given us a task. The task was to do inspection on HS - 125 fuel tank and locate where booster pump, valves, and bla bla bla are located and what type of tank are used for aircraft HS - 125. The task was simple but we faced a lot of problems in locating those things. Well, we are still newbies that still have to learn. Hehe. So, im writing this to share a bit of knowledge with u guys what i've learnt today. :)
This HS - 125 uses 3 tanks and there are 2 different type of tanks. The first 1 is, long range fuel tank and the other 1 is Integeral fuel tank. Integeral tank is a part of aircraft is the tank itself. If the wing is the fuel tank, then the whole wing is the tank. It is also known as WET WING. The booster pump is located under the fuselage of HS - 125. There are 2 booster pumps used in this aircraft. What else? Haha, im out of idea. Maybe im sleepy right now. I'll write more later okayh? By the way, Im sorry if u guys cant really understand my english. Hahaha, my english isn't so good and i might do alot of grammar error. Hehe. Im learning here. :) I need to improve my english so bad! :P THX!
Im back!
Hehe first of all saye mintak maaf sbb dah lama sgt tak update blog saya. Banyak kerja yg kena buat instead of updating this blog, plus im not a serious blogger. Hehe. But now im going to update this blog a lil bit la. Selama beberapa bulan tak update blog ni, macam2 yang saya nak ceritakan kat korang. Tapi bukan sekarang kot? Sebab kepala saya sekarang macam keras sikit. Ngantok + Penat. Sebenarnya saya tak ada banyak idea sekarang sebab sekarang dah pukul 2.10 pagi. Baru je habis buat sikit assignment. Sememester ni agak challenging sbb byk subjects and terpaksa sewa rumah kat luar. For ur information, semester ni ada 14 subjects. Banyak kan? So, banyak dugaan yang kena saya lalui la untuk semester ini. Alhamdulillah dpt juga survive. Hehe. Mak and Abah lah yang banyak support Harith untuk survive duduk kat luar ni. Banyak dorang dah tolong, duit and mcm2 lagi. Hehe thx abah n mak. :) Owh yeah, sebelum saya terlupa, gambar ini adalah gambar yang paling latest sekali saya capture during practical. Tu dalam hangar MIAT tu. Baru je habis buat practical. Saya kena masuk Fuel tank 727. experience yang menarik. Tak ramai yang berani masuk dalam fuel tank tu. Sebab terlalu gelap dan sangat sempit. Hehe.
